Creating Safer Space

EPI team member Professor Roger Mac Ginty is part of a large research and networking project that focuses on unarmed protection in conflict-affected areas. Funded by the UK's Global Challenges Research Fund, the Creating Safer Space project aims to capture civilian protection best practice and to encourage south-south contact. There is a particular focus on Colombia, Myanmar, South Sudan and the Philippines. The project will draw on Everyday Peace Indicators insights to encourage research partners to use participatory and collaborative research methodologies to capture the extent and possible capacity of civilian unarmed protection.
